Type Rating Courses

B737 300-900 (NG and MAX)

The Boeing 737 NG and the B737 MAX Type Rating is a combination of theoretical and simulator training that qualifies the trainees to understand in depth the complexity of the B737 NG (B737-600/700/800/900ER) or the B737 MAX (B737 -8/-9) aircraft systems and flying characteristics.

Entry Requirements

Valid ICAO or EASA ATPL or EASA CPL with ATPL theory credit and MCC*

Current ME IR Rating

Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate

ICAO Language Proficiency Level 4

*Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) can be integrated into the Type Rating

In order to ensure quality and effective training, candidates may have to undergo an assessment test prior to enrolling.

 

B737 NG/MAX Type Rating Structure

The B737 NG/MAX initial course is divided into two parts: The Theoretical Training and The Simulator Training. The total duration of the course is approximately 4 weeks.

Theoretical Training:

  • Web Based Training (WBT): 9 days

  • Classroom tuition: 5 days

  • Theoretical examination upon ground school completion: 2 hours

An additional 3 day classroom tuition is required if Type Rating is combined with MCC Course.

 

Simulator Training:​

  • 8 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) sessions (can vary if Previous Experience Credit (PEC) is applied)

  • 1 FFS License Skill Test

3 additional FFS sessions – Full Flight Simulator sessions are added if Type Rating is combined with MCC Course.

 

Training Location

Theoretical training may be performed either in IAT training facilities in Reykjavik, or in one of our collaborating training centers, upon the customer’s request.

 

The B737 NG/MAX Type Rating can be endorse on the applicant’s pilot license only upon the completion of the Base Training. We also offer the option of conducting the training as Zero Flight Time Training (ZFTT) for Airline operators.

Beechcraft KingAir B200

KingAir B200 Type Rating course consists of theoretical and practical training.

Course is offered for airline operators.

B757/767

B757-200 and B767-300 Type Rating Courses consist of theoretical training and a minimum of 32 hours FFS flight training. 

We also offer differences training between the two variants and also between the B757-200 and -300 variants.
